Every UPSC Mains topper copy, one search box
loading the copy database…
Question database sourced from the aspirant community. A free, easily accessible, open repository. Every copy is hosted by the institute that published it — ForumIAS, Vision IAS, NextIAS and others — the properties belong to them. We are hosting them here in a single place for the benefit of the aspirant community. To contribute, click here.
Every copy links to its original publisher — nothing is re-hosted. Sources & credit →
Optional subject copies
Sociology, Anthropology, History, PSIR, Geography and the rest — plus a Forest Service (IFS) bucket. Compiled from institute pages and from what students send in; these copies are also in the main search — add a copy →
Interview transcripts
UPSC Personality Test (interview) transcripts — who asked what, board by board. Searchable by candidate, board, topic, hobby or education background.

About
What this is
A free, searchable directory of UPSC Civil Services Mains topper answer copies. Search across every question inside the copies and jump straight to the page where a topper answered it.
About me
Hey, I am Hashin Jithu! I cleared the Civil Services Examination in 2021 with an All India Rank of 553. I built Topper's Copy by Hashin as a small way of giving back to the aspirant community. You can find more of my writing at blog.hashin.me.
Credit & sources
This is a community effort, non-commercial and open source. The answer copies are published by coaching institutes and by the toppers themselves — they own them. This site only indexes them and links out, so aspirants have one place to search instead of a dozen.
The question-level index — which topper answered what, on which page — is built from the public answer copies themselves: most questions are read automatically off the scanned PDFs, and part of the older GS & Essay text derives from earlier open community compilations of these same public answer copies. Optional-subject and newer copies are compiled from institute pages (Level Up IAS, Vision IAS, IMS4Maths, SuccessClap, LotusArise and others) and from what people send in. If anyone whose work is indexed here wants a change, open an issue.
Where the PDFs live
Every "Open PDF" / "Open copy" link points to a file hosted elsewhere — the institute or compiler that published it (ForumIAS, Vision IAS, NextIAS, Lukmaan IAS, GS SCORE, Rau's IAS, Level Up IAS, UnlockIAS, Sleepy Classes, Vishnu IAS…) or the topper's own Google Drive. No answer copy is stored on this domain. Rights holders who want a link removed can file an issue.
Contributing & moderation
- Use Submit to add a missing copy, an optional-subject copy, or a topper's AIR / marks.
- Every submission becomes a GitHub issue. A moderator checks the copy is genuine and adds an
approvedlabel; it's then applied to the site automatically within a couple of minutes. - Moderators are repo collaborators — see MODERATORS.md.
- Code and data: github.com/hashin/topperscopy — PRs welcome.
Full static index
Prefer no JavaScript, or crawling the data? The complete static index of every topper and copy
lists all rankers, their papers and links to each source PDF. Machine-readable data:
copies.json (every copy, grouped by topper),
questions.csv (every question, one row per copy and page), and the
per-paper question files data/questions-<paper>[-N].json (deduped question text with the
copies and pages that answer it — the exact file names are listed in llms.txt).
Complete dataset
A consolidated backup of everything collected — every question, every topper's AIR and marks,
including all accepted submissions — is built on every deploy and
documented in dataset/README.md.
Download directly: questions.csv (flat table),
toppers.csv, dataset.json
(everything nested), manifest.json (checksums).
